This is the shortest and probably the fastest leg on the Mary Towneley Loop.  
Trail shoes are fine as the surface is pretty good, albeit painfully undulating.  
The only point to watch out for is NOT to cut the corner shown with a ? below. 

In 2006 the race was blessed with perfect blue skys, no wind and a tremendous atmosphere.  
Rossendale Harriers did themselves proud organising this event.
